I made a simulated gastic acid solution of about 1 M
hydrochloric acid plus enzymes. The Peep here did lose a bit of his coloring but not too much and enjoyed his four hour bathing time. This is the glass the convinced
the class more than any other I think that Peeps might not be a health food. (hey, of course if
one CHEWED the Peep before putting it in the solution it might change the outcome but yuck!).
Next week the students get to try THEIR ideas on how to dissolve the Peeps ...so stay tuned.
