The Birmingham Zoo (and Darcy too)

The zoo is having a butterfly exhibit and since we just "hatched" some Painted Lady butterflies Darcy and I went to see them.

There are all kinds of butterflies there - one let Darcy get very

close to her. But as I was taking a photograph of the butterfly

we heard a squack and looked up to see a peacock strutting

his stuff. He put on quite a show for us (since he was outside

the netting my photos didn't quite turn out well as the camera kept focusing on the netting

and not the peacock.) As he spread his tailfeathers he put on quite a display.

There is a nice Children's play area in the Zoo now too and we had a fun time there too.

Darcy was at first unsure of crossing the swinging bridge but after a few times she had

conquered her fears of that!
