A great read! I've learned more about genetics
now than I thought I wanted to know. But I'm
glad I do know now! Crichton starts with the note
"This is a work of fiction. Except those parts that
are fact." And the facts are woven throughout the
story. I didn't realize Universities and companies
were getting patents on specific genes. This is going
to lead to a nightmare of events (and indeed probably
already is for some!).
I love the talking parrot (Gerald) and hope for this
character alone that they film this novel.

I'm enjoying your pics and am glad to add you to my list of blogs that I keep up with!
I also look forward to your book recommendations--I'm currently reading America Alone, based on your post about it!
I'm loving your new blog. Keep putting book recommendations. I always am looking for something to read or to listen to while I am working out (and if it is exciting it is great because I forget how much I hate working out). Got America Alone for my dh for Christmas and he can't wait to start it thanks to you recommending it.
